Bought a new pair of boots for the DW in the spring...same shell size and brand and the same BSL. I'm guessing that the bindings on her skis don't need any adjustments, is that correct?

Should be OK, I'd think, but you probably want to have a shop do a release check with the new boots, just to be sure.

That's right. If you want peace of mind, you can take them in for a function test.

Heck, if something does go wrong with the interface between your new boots and the bindings, it's only your knee that likely would bear the brunt of it  ;)

I have done this a number of times with boots. I only get a 2 years out of a pair. I currently have two pair that I switch between a soft pair and stiffer pair. No problems since they are the same shell and BSL.

The only caveat that I throw in to my experience is that I set my own DIN to about 10 to 11.

This is when many folks will recommend taking them to a shop but very few would actually do so themselves if they were the ones in the same situation. This happened to me a few years ago, same BSL, didn't bring the boots to a shop. In a matter of fact, I've used my old boot for mounting purposes so I can keep my current boot ready to use. No issues. BSL is in mm's. If you have a new boot, you don't have to worry about boot wear, it is good to go.
