That's it in a nutshell. After a few times of stading in line for over 20 - 30 minutes in the single chair line, I would just avoid the place on weekends. It's a great mountain and I really dig the vibe, but that looong line is just too much for me. Unless I can get there on a weekday, no more MRG for me.

I do not mind the wait, I always go for the moguls and woods, MRG is one of the most taxing mountains out there, I need the rest. It is why I decided to not purchase a Killington Season Pass again, I cant stand seeing trails like Superstar and especially Outer Limits groomed, boring... in short, I would rather take one 2000 vertical trip down that is uncrowded with interesting and unexpected turns the whole way down than a crowded trail that is groomed to perfection 4X over. Just my 2 cents :)

Nice vid. Odd how they're playing down the "Ski it if you can" motto. I always knew it had a double meaning but maybe they should change it to "Ski it - BECAUSE - you can".

I really wish they'd allow some exceptions to their no snowboarders rule. What if I go out with some of their ski patrol or instructors and prove that I will ride in a way they find acceptable? I understand their objection to snowboarders, mostly, but I can't help but feel cheated. I don't want to turn this into a snowboarders vs. skiers thing, I just want a chance to shred some great terrain.

Cue annual MRG debate.

It is very silly. The reasons I have heard from shareholders are just ignorant opinions that have no basis.

The shareholders own the place, just as Deer Valley & Alta are privately owned. Whether you think their opinions are baseless & ignorant really doesn't matter.
