New Whiteface / Gore Message Board!

Hello fellow AlpineZoners! I am pleased to announce the creation of a new online community dedicated to skiing Whiteface and Gore, as well as life in the Lake Placid region overall:

The popularity of "The Unofficial Whiteface Thread" and the success of the other AlpineZone "daughter" site - SkiMRV.com prompted this idea. With support from a group of AlpineZone Members and ORDA, I'm excited to announce this new Web community!

Feel free to register and actively participate in the forums. We certainly appreciate your help in getting this new community off the ground. Also, please feel free to spread the word of the new site to other ADK skiing enthusiasts!

I haven’t seen much activity here or anywhere else for Gore. I’m planning a trip there with my wife and friends, and it would be in my best interest if things went well. How are things looking up there for this weekend?

Was surprisingly good last weekend. I'd say Saturday looks like a great day. Warm Temps, Sun, and they've been making snow all week. Rumor and Lies are open and rippin'. Chance of rain/snow on Sunday afternoon so I'd ski as early as you can. Also, I think Sunday has a chance to be crowded . . . Saturday definintely the best bet.
