Hey All,

It's almost the New Year..does anybody have any big New Years Plans? On New Years day I'll be at Blue mountain from 7:30AM to ????? I don't have any New Years plans yet, I hate going to bars on New Years Eve because it's such a mob scene so if I don't get invited to a party, I'm just chilling at home. I'll probably rent some movies and make some nachos and surf and turf and drink about a gallon of Guinness. What's everybody up to?

I just noticed my Maine pass isn't blacked out that day so I'll probably hit Sunday River. That means I hope to be in bed by 10:00 New Years Eve. Hey I'm an old fart anyways so New Years Eve isn't what it use to be.

My Century Pass is good for Wachusett's New Year's Eve celebrations, and thier skiing until midnight -- so I might head over there for a few runs.

I too plan on skiing but up at Big Boulder. I plan on having a couple very close friends over and just enjoying the night. No idea what it will entail though. I am sure shooting some pool, some sledding, and some nintendo wii. Obviously drinking will be envolved.

We're hiking up to Carter Notch to spend the night at the hut, eating, drinking, and being merry , followed the next morning by a climb of Carter Dome.

We're just planning on staying in. It's been a semi-tradition of ours to rent some movies and get some Chinese food and just chill...

We're hiking up to Carter Notch

Got a few miles up the highway before the car suddenly had no steering and many indicator lights on the dash. Turns out my tensioner seized and shredded the serpentine belt. It'll be in the shop until Wednesday.

Therefore, for New Year's Eve we're staying local and mellow. :)

I was thinking along those lines, myself! Fortunately, it was only about a mile from when the problem hit until the next exit, and an open service station only a few hundred yards down the road. Phew.

Skiing Tomorrow

I had dinner with some friends and their kids, lit some fireworks, and now I'm getting the ski gear prepared to get out early tomorrow morning at Mt. Snow with my family. Happy New Year!

LOL! If it makes you feel better, we ended up at my sister-in-law's house for some last minute plans... and Brian had to take a nap. ;) It was a pretty low-key party seeing as we had the kids and my other sister-in-law (not the hostess) is pregnant. But we didn't get to bed until 3AM so it was a later night than I've had in a LONG time.
