In the same vein as the ski area photos request, I'd like to add a brief description for each Northeast ski area profile. If you would like to contribute one, please Email me at contact@alpinezone.com (please include your username in the Email so I can credit you for the description) or send me a PM.

The descriptions should be short (~200 words) and portray the ski area in a positive light. No need to sugar-coat it, but please no negativity or resort bashing. Just the facts, please.

I reserve the right to edit any description as necessary. Thanks!

Bump. Please let me know if you have a description/narrative you want to contribute. Please check the ski area profiles first to confirm the respective ski area doesn't already have one.

I'm still looking for additional well-written descriptions (specifically for a new feature we'll be rolling out soon). Please check the ski area profiles and if you feel like writing a narrative for a ski area that needs one, please contact me - contact@alpinezone.com or via PM.

Greg, can you post one that you feel is well written? I can write you a few, but would like an example.

I can write you up for Montage, Pa., plus Windham and Labrador, NY

Any of the ones we have so far are well-written - Jay, Loon, Burke, Sugarbush, Wildcat, etc...

Mt. Sunapee A big Mountain Experience close to Boston

Are you having one of those weekend days trying to see what the wind might blow you. Glancing at the weather channel you see it's going to be a bright February Saturday. Why not breeze up to Sunapee and ski. Upon arrival to the top you will be greeted with immediate satisfaction with one of the most stunning views.

Looking West you will see a lineup which includes all the legends. "The K", Okemo, Stratton followed further South to Mt.Snow. Thinking of a 1st run? Head to the Blastoff with thrilling camel bumps. At lunchtime you will be hungry, order up a pizza and throw some complimentary onions and tomatoes or perhaps order a sensational chili with all the trimmings at the base lodge.

Are the kids whining? No problem it's a different world over by the terrain park. Where youth gather like a flock of Starlings. Perched over rails, then flying over to the ramps. Nesting by the half-pipe.

One's morning destination is the Sun-bowl where one can ski bumps or complete a few cruisers. Head up to the Summit lodge for a hot Cocoa in the mid-morning.

Apre-ski treats are at the Flying Goose Pub where one can enjoy a frosty take off your boots and view the Olympics at a giant screen T.V. Be sure to reserve your seats as the place is filled by 4:eek:o. Get a corner seat so those pesky, still hyper younsters don't trample over your stuff.

Are you looking for small ski areas as well? I am going to be up in Conecticut on sunday/monday looking for a house. I would like to ski with my son at Blanford, MA on sunday, as it is the last ski area in western Massachusetts that I have not been to.

This is a small semi-private area that will be open to the public this weekend.

Ideally, I'd like to get descriptions for all ski areas, large and small...
