Came out of Walmart today to find this, No driver, truck idling....I guess the truck driver didn't know what the 'P' amongst the gear selections stood for...

Your vehicle?
Yup. I looked up the truck manual and it's not a matter of pushing 'P' like on an automatic car but it's not rocket science to set the parking brake. Big yellow diamond on the dash...

Noone wants to drive trucks; at least not enough to satisfy demand. There was a 19 YO driving a truck for S.D. Ireland. He was carrying stone. He tipped it over, closed the road and almost killed himself. My favorite is when someone dumps a large truck. this effects the center of gravity and if you're not on level ground you roll the truck. Happens all the time. OP got to be glad he didn't T-bone you on a road. It might have cost you snow time.

Not good

The S.D. Ireland truck hit a truck tire left in the road by another truck.
"Vermont DMV investigators say an S.D. Ireland dump truck was headed south when it hit a tire left by a tractor-trailer in the right lane. They say the dump truck driver lost control, and the truck rolled, losing its load of stone and trapping driver Savion Thibou, 19, of Burlington, inside."
