Is anything worth the trip? I was deadset on Killington, but that won't happen. What's my best bet if I decide to make the trip. I'm off from work for armistice day anyhoo.

If you're looking to ski, I think you're going to need a plane ticket out west.

There's plenty of skiing to be had this weekend in the east. You just need to work for your turns. Any place that has been blowing snow in the past few days should be hikeable by now.

I've never heard it called Armistice Day - I've always heard Veterans Day. And working at a govt contractor it seems like I should get it off

i have always preferred calling it armistice day even though they did away with that name in favor of vets' day. everyday should be vets' day, imo, but given how many vets are treated, it doesn't seem like really ever get any.

hikable skiing only this weekend. still unsure if it will be worth it but i may be venturing up on sunday to find out. worst case, i love to hike any ways.

We'll probably be hiking for interconnecting snowmaking patch's this weekend. Bring the rock skis and a sense of adventure if your gonna try and ski. I know i'll be out for day 4...couldn't be much worse than last weekend which involved a couple miles of biking for cross country skiing with sections of ski carrying. Though the comments from some of the people on the summit of whiteface were funny. They all hiked up and couldn't understand how I could have skiied. Guess they didn't know the road sorta holds snow.
