Resort: Okemo Mountain
Conditions: packed powder, some icy spots
Seeing that I took yesterday and today off from work, I decided to do some skiing! Yesterday was all about Okemo, with a the mountain packed to the gills, yesterday was one of those epic blue bird days that we all dream about. Yes the powder was gone, yes the 2 day a year skiers were out, and yes it was epic. Started out up the main HSQ, to take the Chief top to bottom. Next we made our way over to defiance, and back down to summit lodge. After refilling on water, the next run was world cup. Again the trail skied very very nice. Next we made our way over Jackson Gore to ski blue moon to limelight. Back up the quad to hit Vortex into Quantum leap. And then Votex back into Eclipse. Eclipse had some nice bumps on them... But man I need to practice! Finally, to close out the day, my buddy and I skied sidewinder, rode the life back up too heven's gate down and finally meandered back vial the mountain road to the base. While I would have loved to skied more runs, it was just so busy the lift lines were kinda long. All in all, a great day on the mountain, and for those Wachusett passholders, check it out
