was at Mt Snow this past weekend, with the great snow i got my daughter into some mellow woods and she had a blast. Might try Okemo this coming weekend. Checking the map I don't see a lot of marked trees. Anyone able to point out some fairly open wooded areas?

I see Tree Dancer in solitude but not much else marked on the map.

thanks.

Not a lot of glades there. Funny thing they were early adopters 20+ years ago w/a couple trails that had a few trees on them (Double Diamond and Outrage). There are some on the Jackson Gore side, but believe they have too little for an area their size...

Whispering Pines and Everglade are 2 nice low angle glades.

Double Diamond off of south face is a WIDE open glade. Outrage also off of south face is pretty open too, but has some tough/fun spots and gets tighter at the bottom, this has become our favorite trail. You can also dump into double diamond by going directly under the lift and heading down then skiers left.
Over at Jackson Gore Black Hole is probably the tightest glade, not real long. Supernova off of White Lightning/ Rolling Thunder is a nice long glade a little tight.
Loose Spruce on South Face is a nice mellow long glade not super tight.

Discovered some fun trees at Okemo last wknd in about 6" of fresh. The Shadows off Solitude are fairly low angle and Supernova is a very long, big gladed area in Jackson Gore.
If you know where to look Okemo has some decent trees.
Black Hole is not overly steep but it has some very small ledgy sections that may give an intermediate pause.

Yeah I was there at the end of January/beginning of February and the trees were pretty nice. Very long on the jackson gore side but the ones at the top on the far left of the mountain are nice too (wanna say loose spruce)

There are a ton of "not on the map" glades at Okemo...look into the woods between trails and you'll see tracks every where. Lots of low angle kid/family friendly glades just need to keep an eye out. The last 4 weeks have be amazing for skiing the woods at Okemo. I'm glad they haven't put every skiable glade on the trail map keeps the crowds out. I've offered in the past to show you around. PM me and I can point you in the right direction.

They at least used to mark some glade like connecting trails for the kids with some kinda cartoon tiger character I think...

I was there last weekend 3/7 and 3/8.. Everglade and Whispering pine are both nice enough but seemed to have a lot of traffic through them. Forest Bump and Tree Dancer were both legit, no fresh snow but decent coverage.. Double Diamond and Outrage are pretty wide open glade areas and right next to one another, my advice is to get into the thicker woods between the two trails, there are some good lines in there and probably your best bet for untacked fluff. Have to say the best trees I skied over the weekend were the lines I poached off of Tuckered Out, the trees are naturally thin over there and I was able to find some hidden stashes.
