Hey, come on now...! It was cool back then to be able to ski like that with 207cm slalom
racing skiis, which by the way I think I still have hanging up down in my basement..!

I remember my first encounter with a bump run. It was in 1967 and I was up at Whiteface, had a season pass at Gore all thru school, which was good at Iceface.

Things are abit foggy(back in those days you started drinking at 16) from that long ago but I think the trail was called Wilderness? Looking up the mountain I think it was on the left. Anyway the trail had bumps the size of cars. My skis back then were 207cm Rossi Stratos, of course I still have them. The upper mountain was closed, as usual, so I think we spent pretty much the entire day figuring out to ski these little mountains. My knees were sore for several days which might explain why doing bumps are low on the priority list of the terrain I prefer to ski.

I did compromise on the ski length when I bought new skis a couple of years ago. The sales dude said I should get the 160-170 length. I pointed out that I have skiing on 200's for several years and they worked just fine. So we compromised and I bought the 190's.

Nope. Everyone in that video predates me. I was in 8th grade in 1987...

Yes definitely a flashback. I used to ski K-mart in those days....So much fun. That seemed to be a great spring day....soft snow, lots of sun.and i could only imagine what else went on behind the scenes...
