Orville turns 95! (Hunter Mtn Owner)

Orville Slutzky turns 95 on Monday! Orville owns 50% of Hunter Mountain and ??% of the town.

Great man. There is a great deal of interesting history, unlike other mountains, with Hunter and the Slutzky family.

This will sound weird, but I think about him just about everyday. Back when I was a weekend volunteer, they had the adhesive lift tickets. I saw Orville running around picking up the wax paper backs that were swirling around outside the ticket area. I started helping him and it dawned on me, he could just ask any employee to do it but he was just getting it done. Today, when I see trash on the ground, I just pick it up, throw it out and that's when I think of Orville, picking up trash. If he can do it, I can do it.

Unfortunatly he has not been visable much lately. He uses a cane and at times a wheel chair. He has an attendant a lot, and it is not one of his kids or grandkids which would be nice to see.
