Pat's Peak AZ Race Team Week 3 - 1/29/07

Condtions: PP, MG, “firm”, some gunpow.

Another very good showing for the team.

Arrived relatively early and took some runs with skibum9995. Guns were going on upper FIS, upper Twister and at the summit. Zipped around Cyclone, Twister & FIS before heading back to the lodge to meet the crew.

Race was on FIS, which was nicely groomed just prior to the race. We secured some early pairs so the course was in great shape for our first runs. The courses were relatively straightforward and a lot of fun- ga2ski came across the finish line whooping on his first run.

Results/Medal/Points:
2nd: tree_skier G 7.91pts – gunning for Juneau
9th: Bob R S 6.38 – I still don’t get how he’s so darn fast
11th: ga2ski G 7.07 – No teleturns this week!
16th: Scott S 4.62 – Always a solid finisher
18th: skibum9995 S 4.02 – The practicing shows
37th: roark B 2.24
48th: Charlie B 1.66

Team scoring takes the average of the top 5 on each team, so we picked up 6 points this week, another 1st place team finish. Our 3 week average is 5.889, which puts us more than 1 point over 2nd place. :daffy:

Roark thankx for the report. I'm slower every week and getting us less points. Tree_skier has been telling me to stop skiing like I skied in the 70's. Results were posted early today.

Again Ga2ski and Tree_skier are cranking. Roark had the best frozen beard. We all hung out a bit together Apres. Good time. Scott had his best finish ever and Skibum995 has really been steady. Roarks' finish times continue to improve and Charlie seems to medal every week.

Another good time was had.

We found out Roark's excuse for not skiing faster - he learned to ski at Pokemo.

I am beginning to feel one with the new skis and felt really good this week but struggled to get out of the start.
