Headed up to pat's for the first time ever last night. When I woke up on sat. I would have never imagined I would be going here. I was really happy we did. It was between pat's and crotched but pat's was open for an extra hour.
The place is awesome! We got our tickets, boots and a spot in the lodge under 10 minutes. All the lifts were open. The vortex double was the best lift, nice and fast. All the trails were open too, great snow on them. Hurricane, Tornado and vortex were surprisingly steep but awesome. The new cascade basin was awesome! I just wish they kept it open for the night time. The terrain parks were great and the real glades were awesome. The whole mountain vibe is something I have never seen before. It's an awesome little place and the view is spectacular! We decided not to eat there because it smelled like my public elementary schools cafeteria lol. I am excited to go back next season and I am looking forward to the new trails. Very underrated place.

That is certainly a glowing endorsement for Pats! I'm glad to hear you enjoyed it. The stuff right down the front of the mountain is actually pretty decent, and when the vortex is spinning, it makes it that much better because you don't need to bother skiing the runout and riding from the bottom.

It is a nice place. Be sure to try the Sled Pub the next time you are there. It is pretty cool.

Yeah the vortex was our favorite lift. It was the fastest and we could just lap all the double blacks.

Pats reminds me of a video game when we are night skiing! Music is playing people are everywhere and you can see much if the ski area from the deck! It has a good vibe and it is very well run from corporate racing to school programs to their ski school to their events and so forth! They are all over their snowmaking and conditions. It is a fun place to tool around and make some turns. Added benefit - it is twenty minutes from home! Funny thing we only ski it like 2-3 times per season. I prefer night skiing at Gunstock on Tuesdays because it only costs $16 per person (2 fer night).

The vibe was cool. The bell, the music and the large pats peak symbol hallogram in the snow was neat. The place is really maintained better than most places and all the lifts were in great shape. The village double chair has a really strange terminal haha
