Actually we started the day at Garrison Hill in Dover. They actually encourage folks to come mess around on the old hill.
You just drive to the top where there's a fire tower and walk over to the single-trail terrain park. There is no lift.
Eric took one run and deemed it too packed out so we headed to our intended ski area-just 10 minutes away.
Here is the entire Powderhouse Hill. I think this is one of the last rope-tow only areas left around. The day was beautiful and the tickets are only $5.
They actually keep duck tape right on the counter where you buy your pass-your gloves need it.
I took a shot of myself. Today seemed perfect for an 80's style headband gaper look.
They do have glades. Crusty snow today though.
Here is 16 yr old Eric taking a little jump.
And another one.
A view from the top.
My buddy Gary from Floriday soaking in the sunshine.
Conclusion: the best $5 I have spent for a long time. We hung out until our hands hurt (about 2 hrs) and soaked up the old-school vibe. Definitely worth a shot if you are near the NH seacoast.
