Those of us with kids in school are slaves to their schedules. My son is a HS senior so we will soon be free. However, this year we have college visits to work around as well as the school calendar. Plan is to leave from Boston Saturday morning, ski somewhere, (maybe finally try Burke) drive to Jay and stay there for 3 days then back to Boston for another college tour and interview. Last few season's we have been escaping the crowds and jacked up prices by skiing Ste Anne and Le Massif.

Where are all you mothers and fathers taking the kids for Feb. break?

Headed up to my sister's cabin in Island Pond. Taking the kids over to Burke at least one day. I wow to get them up top this year! We've been stuck on the lower half of the mountain the past couple of years. Throw in a little snowmobiling and snowshoeing to boot. Maybe I'll do some solo stuff later in the week.

Upto Mount Snow for the week, with aday trip to either Killington or Pico so my kids can race in the Mountain Dew Vertical Challenge and possibly qualify for the finals at Mount Snow in April.

My plans include Mad River Glen, Middlebury, and Quebec. Maybe Cannon. Just the weekend though, not the week unless we get a powder day. And no kids either. :D

I'll spend Presidents Day/week at the homestead just like I do Christmas week. It's the after Presidents week - April time period that I'm looking forward to. The racing season will be over and I'll be free to journey more and plan to. Would love to see this season go deep into April.

Right where I want to be
My kids actually have the following week off into March so I don't have to deal with Massholes and their ilk. Joking I was born in Mass :) Actually heading to FLA for a little spring training and Disney action that week.

President's Day Weekend will be my first time skiing since New Years. Needless to say I'm chomping at the bit. Probably do Fri @ MRG (Attitash if the natural is lacking), and Sat @ Wildcat.
