Went to Sugarbush for Community Day to hear Win, view progress on their projects, take a lift ride, and to take a nice hike between the two areas via the Long Trail. You could not ask for a better day.

My sister, a recent college grad, is taking advantage of the "Grad" pass deal, which allows graduates to get one last year of the college pass rate. This was her first time to Sugarbush and will be skiing with my wife and I. She had nothing but great things to say.

The new Farmhouse and Schoolhouse are progressing nicely:

New paint on Heaven's Gate Triple:

Some of you know where this is:

Interesting sign:

A new roof on the Gables/Castlerock Warming Hut (but it needs a new door):

WTF? I hate it when people vandalize property:

Mount Ellen:

And the Ellen Lodge is getting some TLC....not sure what exactly...at least replacement of the deck:

And on Monday I got some pictures of the snowmaking pipe work at Mount Ellen. They are replacing the water line from the Van Loon Pumphouse (down German Flats Road near the Fayston Elementary School) to the base area. This line had broke in several spots and now Ellen will have its original capacity for snowmaking once again:

Out with the old...

And in with the new:

I took a similar hike at Lincoln Peak on Sunday. It was 34 degrees at 10 AM at Allyn's Lodge ! A couple of pics to add:

Hiking down Rumble was a challenge. Without any snow cover you really see the boulders and rocks along the trail and get a better appreciation for the flow of the trail down the mountain.

Thanks for the additional pics they're awesome. Rumble looks like a lot of fun without the snow.

Great pics guys! It's always cool to see mountains in the off season. Looks like they've been busy up there.

I did chuckle at the Bill Cosby sticker.

I was going to ask him what the temp was from seeing his dress but you answered my question. Nice to see the north country cooling down. Looks like there might be some frosting on the cake in the next couple of days.
