+1 on the Oxyclean in hot water soaking for 5 - 10 minutes. This works greater for the lower distribution size of the microbrew. I'll call that Jaja's law.
Examples: best for easy label removal are Long Trails, Victory, Weherbacher (sp), etc. Worst for label removal are Sam Adams, any BMC's, etc.
Go on a Guiness kick. Their labels can be just sliced off and the widget comes out with needle nose pliers.
