...when everyone was complaining about r@!n and how the winter was going to suck? That was funny.

After this weekend, I think I'll have more powder days than normal days this season... :snow::thumbup::beer:

I hope everyone is getting out and ripping this fluffy white goodness. Cheers!!

With all of the snow in my backyard and still seeing that Gunstock could have used a bit more snow last weekend...I'm still not entirely happy. Maybe that's because I can't get out for a few weeks. A trip to Magic would be nice if I could get a day off...

Remember back around last year, the year before, the year before that, and going back to 1972... the Dec/January freeze thaw cycles that cause skiers to have a nutty, sacrifice for Ullr, and think the season is doomed? And then the snow falls in February and March.... Funny stuff.

Way better than last year so far. One of the best Decembers in recent years and this year's thaw was no where close to as bad as last year. There was literally zero natural snow base anywhere in all of New England later January last year.

This year was all-in, fairly average until the recent poundings.

EDIT: Tried to get the Mount Mansfield snow stake data, but it looks like it's not working at the moment.

I don't know how anyone could say December was average unless they didn't ski that month. Outer Limits and Devils Fiddle were open on natural snow only by the middle of the month. That happens maybe once every ten years.

Northern Nh has had less snow than the Boston area it seems. All of these recent storms have had much more snow than N NH so I'm still disapointed about that.Vt got the big goods the storm before the blizzard and Maine got the goods the last few.Cannon has been nickle and dimeing it and is in good shape but I still have a lot more snow in my S NH home than at my Mittersill house.
