Is that the little bridge by the Polar Express (pretty much directly behind the one you go over in the line to get on the lift)?

Wow... so he doesn't even get a good story...

What happened?

I guess we'll have to help him come up with something much more grandiose to tell his kids/grandkids/coworkers.

Thanks Phil.

Yup, that's the spot. Totally my fault. I was carrying too much speed into the base area and tried to dodge a snowboarder, except he dodged the same way. Totally stupid on my part.

As you can clearly see, it was the steepness of the terrain that did the poor ligament in.

Rest in pieces little ligament!

It was still a pretty good crash with a loud bang and me flipping around. :)

Slow signs?

I made myself feel better by buying some race skis for next year.

Ahh... retail / speed therapy... You should look into these bindings (save the other ACL): http://www.kneebinding.com Looks like a cool idea and I hope they get to market soon so we can see if they're actually any good.

On another front... you sound like my friend who we don't let drive anymore... Early morning drive to catch a bus to watch the Sox play at Shea stadium quite a few years ago. By this point he had scared the three others in the car (myself included) several times.

We approach a redlight... he doesn't even slow down...
Us: Jeff, the light's red! ... Red Jeff ... RED ...
Jeff Zooms through the intersection.
Me: Jeff, why'd you run that light, we're like 15 minutes early.
Jeff: There was a light?

Yeah... Jeff doesn't drive with us anymore.

Interesting, but probably wouldn't have helped me because I kinda wrapped my knee around the guy and that's what caused all the damage.

I don't usually cruise through there that fast. I just wasn't paying attention this time and was thinking about the bar. I tend to stop at red lights too.

Yeah, adding a target (snowboarder) kind of changes all the dynamics involved... Did you do any damage to him?

Sorry you hurt yourself... Enjoyed skiing with you early this season and was hoping to get another shot at it... As we were very used to saying in these parts up until a few years ago, "There's always next year."

Hope your surgery / rehab goes well.

No, and they were actually apologizing to me for some reason.

Thanks, I'll probably post an update once I have the surgery.
