RockShox Pike RCT3 - 26" 150mm SoloAir

BK.jpg

Unlike the Lyric, Rock Shox's Pike does not have a coil option, and this RCT3 150mm Solo Air 26in model's stroke tops out right where the Lyric starts. The forks do share large 35mm sanctions, however, so you can expect the light and tough Pike to play nicely on any aggressive trail.
And, with the RCT3 damper residing in this Pike's right leg, you're not limited to factory low-speed compression settings without playing doctor. Via the shiny dial atop the Charger adjustment knob, you can increase low-speed compression to avoid brake dive and g-out, or run it wide open. The Charger damper also gives you three instant compression settings from open, trail-tuned, and completely locked out.
On the opposite side of the Pike resides a Solo Air spring. This, when compared to the Dual Position Air spring, means no travel adjust, but a slightly lighter (just over 50g), less complicated fork. If you can forgo the up and down, you'll enjoy not only longer service intervals, but less static friction and lower un-sprung weight too; and that equals smoothness.
The Rock Shox Pike RCT3 26in 150mm SoloAir has a tapered steerer tube, and uses a post mount brake interface. It comes in Black and has a 15mm Maxle Lite axle.
