Saddleback Pre AZ Summit Day - 03/25/2011

Trip Report:

After a nice dump of 12+ inches of snow in the days leading up to our visit the conditions couldn't be better. With the exception of a few patches of scratch everything was super soft, fresh, fluffy and made for some dreamy turns!

After braving the frost heaves on Route 16 we managed to hit the hill around 10am and after a warm up run met up with Roark, Wjenness and a few other AZ members and proceeded to log some sweet runs in the trees. We pretty much killed it till they closed the lifts, sucked a beer down and headed to Sugarloaf!

We hit up what the hill had to offer and then some! Casablanca was sick but so was pretty much everything else out there. Behind the amazing day I had a Stratton last month, this was a close second for sure!! Great mountain, amazing snow and great company!!
