A few of us will be at the loaf. Snowmonster, jerry G. A few other SR regulars. Terry? My son and I will be there Friday as well. I skied Monday there 3 runs, but edge to edge coverage. Might be the last weekend you never know.:spin::daffy:

8 inches of new snow and 24 trails maybe a few more late openings.

orginally trail report had 6 trails and 6 inches posted

ya freeking hooooo

report copied from the loaf web site.

Update:

-8:40 am-

So Ski Patrol is saying it's more like eight inches up there at the top of the SuperQuad, and they're checking out trails as we speak, and they've already opened up everything from Tote Road to Sluice, including trails like Narrow Gauge and Spillway. Sun is still out and it's looking like a sweet late April powder day! Come on up and grab some powder at the only open resort in the east!

Groomers smoothed out Hayburner and Candyside last night, and your primary surface on those two should be packed powder first thing this morning. Lift service is on the SuperQuad here today, and patrol will be checking trails throughout the day.

Lift tickets are just $39 for adults and young adults, and just $30 for juniors and seniors all week long, and don't forget - today is the last day for the best prices on the 08/09 New England Pass, so act now and get yours before it's too late.

Six inches of powder at the only open resort in the East... Not bad for the last day of April... See you soon...

- Ethan

I am not sure exactly when I will be skiing at Sugarloaf just yet. It's possible Warren and I may be up there for friday-saturday, or just for the day on saturday. This weekend was not planned as a ski weekend as we dropped the idea once Sugarloaf only had 6 trails left as of monday.

We will be staying at the White Wolf in Stratton if we do go as they are the cheapest at $55 a night.

Im finding it really tough to concentrate on work today after reading the sugarloaf snow report

I got a place on mountain saturday night at the loaf for me and the old lady. They must be doing good because the woman at the loaf said the hotel was booked and there was only 7 condos left for saturday night. More money than I would have normally spent but I felt good throwing a few appreciative dollars at boyne. We will be skiing saturday afternoon, hunting down some meat and beers saturday night and then a half day on sunday.

Studio condo was $107.

You did better than me she said 119 for the studio to me. Same price for a room.

A bunch of lies. The sugarloaf inn is closed for the season not full. if you want to exchange numbers off line do so. We will doing a bbq and all that i would expect.

Warren and I are heading up to Sugarloaf on friday morning at around 2am, for groomer turns at 8:30am and we will be staying at the White Wolf on friday night. The plan is to ski until 2pm or so on saturday and then head home.

I didnt type that clearly. They did say the inn was closed but the hotel was booked. They will give you a 10% passholder discount if you ask for it, that was the difference in price.

Well I said i was a pass holder, but maybe I was not clear I guess. I never have like the lodging conversations I have had there. Went off mountian and I'm fine with that. Main point is go to the loaf. did you see the pictures

Do folks here want to meet up to ski a few runs? It would be great to finally meet loafer and Warren. Saturday, 1230 at the Superquad?

That sounds just fine, Warren and I will probably be taking our last few runs of the day at that time as we have a 5H 45M drive ahead of us to get home.

We decided not to make the drive up on friday morning, but rather do it tomorrow afternoon in stages and stay in Rumford Center thursday night. It's a 1 hour and 15 minute drive up to Sugarloaf from there.

where its snowing
If someone went yesterday, I'm dying for a trip report. Did anyone even see that snow coming? I saw snow in far northern maine, but it didn't look like the sugarloaf area to me --
I should have known better. My season is done, but I'll be at the loaf in spirit this weekend --

I have the Loaf/SR/loon pass for next year, so maybe I'll meet up with you guys first pow-wow of next season. Looking forward to it already, having the recurring snow dreams already too... Maybe I should check out Valle Nevado, Chile this summer.....
