I was wondering what everyone would do in my season pass situation which is catamount sells college passes for 200 and windham sells them for 249. Obviously windham is a much better mountain but its about 30 miles farther than catamount from my house still not sure what i should do. Anyone have any reccomendations.:snow: :uzi:

Go with the mountain that:

(a) You can get to the most often.
(b) That has the least restrictions
(c) Is one that you want to ski and is large enough not to bore you.

Those are the big issues. Now does one of these have night skiing? If so, that extends the amount of time that you could ski. That is a big plus.

As for distance, Windham would have to be a better mountain for you and one that you still can take advantage of. FWIW I drove 31 miles to get to Sugarbush and spent about twice as much as the Middlebury College Snowbowl, which was 15 miles away. Big factors were terrain variety, larger size, and length of season. No regrets.

If they are the same amount of hassle, I would say go to Windham. It is a bigger mountain with more diverse terrain. Also, Windham has had a lot of improvements including some new trails and a HSQ.

Yeah windham is much bigger than catamount and makes/gets more snow. Plus last year there was a lot of rain at catamount so right now i am leaning more towards windham
