I AM NOT A SNOWBOARDER. But the story of Shaun White is fascinating to say the least. His story is in today's newspaper as an A.P. release. You HAVE to be a little envious of this kid.

1st sponsorship at age 7
Went pro at age 13
Six Winter X Games gold medals (whatever those are)
He has red hair!
He is a multimillionaire with three homes and dozens of cars
He has a huge chateau at Aspen
He has lots of sponsors - boards, clothes, video games, Mountain Dew, Target
He made a DVD called White Alubm that is selling like hotcakes.
He is THE ONE TO BEAT. The best they say.
He is only 18 freaking years old.

And - really - your not a snowboarder?? Why would you post that? Not flaming - just curious... I won't even respond to your answer... ;)

I don't like to snowboard, but I find MUCHO entertainment value in watching the Flying Tomato and those near him on the food chain. I was watching Kelly Clark the other day beat the snot out of her competetion and I loved it. God she's homely.

As far as the Tomato, his money and his cars didn't impress me, but he won me over with the chateau at Aspen. And 18 y/o. It's fascinating.
