If we've got a gabillion dollars to play with, why not just make the state of VT 1 giant interconnect from Haystack all the way on upto Jay Peak! Think about how you could market that! Not to mention all the jobs it would create to construct it!

...and a high speed 6-pack. ....and snowmaking.

Great idea, they could replace the single with a 6-pack. But they would have to widen all of the trails too for the increased skier traffic.

For a gabillion dollars I'd build a huge tent over the greater Boston metro area, collect all the snow that falls uselessly that far south, and ship it north to mountains in need.

That gets my vote for the least "shovel-ready"!

Shovel-ready would be expansions with existing plans, like Mittersill, Ragged, Burke, Gore and Saddleback. Some of these are on hold because there are no buyers now for the housing that will drive the expansions. Definition of stimulus: Build the ski trails first, then people will want to buy the houses! In a couple of years when there's mortgage money again, of course.
