Resort: Ski Butternut
Date Skied: 2/4/06 12:30pm - 4pm
Conditions: Overcast, about 45 degrees
Trip Report:
As I pulled into the entrance, I could not help but notice all of the empty parking spots. There was a big difference from last Saturday to this Saturday. After booting up in the upper lot, I headed over to the Top Flight Quad. There was no line! There was still decent coverage on the trails but bare spots were popping up.
The snow was soft granular with some hard pack underneath. Main street had decent coverage but was narrower. Freewheeler was not open. I could only see patches of snow on it. Again my trail pick was Downspout. It was a fun day today, and thankfully the rain held off.
We need snow.
