Subscribing to SkiJournal was on my "to do" list for some time, but you know how it goes, "I'll do it later".

I finally subscribed a few months ago and have just received my second magazine.
To call this a magazine is just not right. Its a book, filled with some of the most amazing ski stoke your $$ can buy.

Thank you Grant, to you and your team!

If you haven't subscribed to Ski Jouranl, do yourself a favor and do it now!

Here is a little taste from their facebook page

The cover photo they have on their site is awfully sensuous. ;)

Ouch on the subscription price, though. I can see it as more of an artform than, say, Ski or Skiing... but I don't even read magazines anyway so it's not on my list.

To call SkiJournal a ski magazine does it a huge injustice.
Its more like a quarterly edition of a coffee table book. It should never be put in the same category of Ski, skiing or powder magazine.........not even close.

Here is an ESPN page on Grant's photography on his recent adventure in SA.

Scroll through the shots, you won't be disappointed.
I agreed in my original statement that the work is more of an artform than those above mentioned. However, I'm not at a stage in my life where I would dedicate $40/yr to pretty pictures. They seem to be really nice and I bet it's even better in person--but not something I'm interested in at this time. :)

Thanks for the post. While I probably won't dedicate the $40 to it, will definitely be another "Fan" on Facebook. Thanks!

Sounds like the Surfers Journal compared to Surfer/Surfing

I hold off in Ski Journal but do indulge myself with a Ski Area Management subscription. LOTS of really, really, really cool snowmaking/snow cat/lski lift porn in that mag! My wife knows that when the new issue arrives (bi-monthly mag) that I'm going to be in that bathroom on the throne for a good longtime that evening ;) :)

This is correct, The Ski Journal has a similiar format as The Surfers Journal. Less advertising, more inspiration.

Here is a preview of The Ski Journal #3.3.

I got two of their mags for free as review copies. Really great magazine, love their approach of high quality photos and words without the ads. Best magazine in the business hands down though also the most expensive. I decided it was too pricey for a subscription though if I was going to subscribe to a mag, this would be it. I wrote two reviews up a while back here and here.

I got my "next issue" in the mail last month but put it aside and forgot about it.
Must have been meant to be, because last night i found it just in time for the ski stoke I needed in this gazillion degree weather.
