Monday nights race offs happen at pats peak for those that aren't chicken, bobr. The ski off thread got me thinking that perhaps more people would like to join us for our race off's. I also looked back th the results and noticed a particularly good tree_skier in first with the youngster, skibum9995 trying hard to catch up.

They're a few of us on Thursday night at Wachusett (Sky, Phildozer) although we're not quite as competitive (fast) as you guys.

Sounds cool...Nastar is humbling...I can ski mad quick in a straight line but maintaining speed in icy ruts on an offset course is tough..In icy conditions I usually get a Bronze medal and in spring conditions..silver..but I'm in the 20-something category which is the toughest..when I turn 30..maybe I can get a gold..

Bob if you will notice that was first overall. Also you are in the old fart division also. We missed your team points last year. Skibum did pick up some of the slack he is just a puppy so the team points are hard for him to get.

It was a good last night seeing that I would be in first at least until the Jan 09.

Employment and age held me back. I had fun. Some nights after making the Monday night events I would get 4 hours of in bed time. I can't get up and work 11 or 12 hours after 4 hours sleep anymore, plus I was missing some of my kids events to race..... Really and easy choice on what I should do. We have petitioned hard to get Nastar at the River. We shall see.
Still love to watch a race off. Tree_skier and Ga2ski would be in the top finishers.

Your fat ass advantage is waaaaaay more than three hundreths of a second. :smash:
skibum9995 will be in great shape form the hiking, but will seriously need to pack on the lbs to take advantage of gravity.

We will definitely miss riverc0il's pts.

djspookman has expressed interest, hopefully we can convince him to get some tele skis with less than a 130 waist. Another young pup, though.

One more thing: if you're a ringer, you have to show up for the finals. :uzi:

tree_skier has no chance this year. I'm feeling great and my legs are in better shape than ever. My weight is down about 10 lbs, but when I get home I plan to hit the couch hard. The only reason he is in 1st is because he knows he can't win straight up so he gets a running start before breaking the wand.
