Besides $50, what's the difference between these two poles?

Leki TTB

Leki Lite

Color is different, but both are aluminum, airfoil, yada yada. My wife wants new poles, picked out the TTBs (for no discernable reason), but has also pointed out the Lites.
She is not a racer, hardly uses poles, and has no need for a high-tech much of anything. So, in a way, they are a fashion statement as much as anything, but if the TTB is a substantially "better" pole, then I have no problem paying for them (it's Christmas, after all)

Based on the length range, looks like one of them is built for junior racers (Lite) which can explain the price spread. Unless your wife is around 5' 7" or taller, you may be better off saving a few with the Lite --unless it is a flimsy junior pole in which case go with the TTB.

Good point- she is 5'7", and uses a 115 cm pole.

Looks like the Lite, has a different strap/grip. I have a pair of the nicer ones you posted, and love the fact that I can snap in and out of the grips, rather than takeing the straps off.

That's my wife's biggest reason for liking Lekis, too. I ordered the TTBs for her yesterday.

Got teh poles in, ordered from teh Inverness shop at Sugarbush. Included in the box were a Sugarbush trail mp, handy flip chart of carving techniques, and a mint-condition 1999 copyright VHS tape on how to make quick turns. If I can find a VCR, that is sooooo going to be Christmas Eve viewing material.

Also a sticker that says "Do not eat this sticker" which made me chuckle.
