Skier is perhaps the best all-around ski mag available right now, but it's Canadian, which is cool with most people, but not all. It's basically a mix of Powder, Skiing, and Freeskier with no semblence to SKI whatsoever. It's put out 6-8 times a by SBC.

Snow East is a descent mag for family oriented resort coverage et al...

Hey Ski Quattro.

(may be a little bias as I do work for this publication)

Have you had a chance to check out The Ski Journal? Rather than a throw away mag, The Ski Journal is a high end quarterly journal covering global ski culture. We are a ski mag by skiers for skiers. We are completely independent and do not have a large parent company to answer to.

The Ski Journal is currently the only reader supported ski publication and due to this we limit ads and focus solely on the culture of skiing.

We firmly believe that the culture of skiing can and does include all aspects of the sport from freesking the biggest lines in Ak to the local mom and pop hill to Bode Miller to the history of Hexcell skis…

I get Ski, Skiing and SnowEast, I like SnowEast the best just 'cause it covers the East exclusively and then Skiing next.

Subscription is more than SKI (which they should pay you to read anyway), but less than an 8 hour lift ticket for many, many more hours of (off season) stoke. Ski Journal = content king of the genre. Mostly fantasy-land stuff for eastern skiers (i.e., lots of west coast and backcountry) but that's ok.

2nded. Damn good quality pub. Coffee table material for sure, this mag does not make trips to the bathroom with me.

I'm also a recent convert to Skiing, doing a pretty good job nowadays. Love how they're doing their covers now too.

+2 I really enjoy this rag. I let my scrip to SKI lapse cause it just doesn't do it for me anymore. Ironically i just found out yesterday that i won a free years scrip to SKI...kinda feel like i lost.
