I was feeling decent today, so decided to get one last practice session in before tomorrow. Definately warm, so things skied decently, with a slick spot here in there. Still struggled with the funky bump at the top of the right line for a while, but I think I have it figured out now.

I'm predicting ice bumps tomorrow. Should be interesting. Plus I have a surprise in store... (and we'll see if it's good or bad. Definitely a surprise, though.)

So I left out a few details. After I figured out the bump at the top of the right line, I figured I'd do two more runs, one for each line. Run down the right went fine. Last run, top went good, but I hit the wall of a bump between the kickers and doubled ejected. As I was hiking up to get my skis, a kid coming down picked up my skis, and as he was carrying them down said something to the effect of, "Hey, I think this ski is bent." Sure enough...

So seeing as this was practice for the competition today, I was in a little bit of a bind. Didn't want to ski on rentals, and figured I needed new skis anyways, so I woke up at about 4:30 this morning and drove to Killington to pick up these:

Surprise...

The skis look good. That's some dedication to drive up to Killington just to buy new skis!

Wow! That is definitely some dedication to the sport! Sorry about the bent ski, but it doesn't seem like you're too bent out of shape over it. ;)
