Should be seeded within a couple of weeks, right?

Hopefully Sundown will make it decently late into March. I haven't been up there this year, but I can't imagine their base is that great, and the 55+ degree temps this week can't help.

The base is SUPRISINGLY deep in most areas, which I believe gives them plenty to move around for coverage....as for bumps on Gunny I'm sure it will happen its just a matter of how gnar they will be given the lack to work with to make em. Although its been a stellar season given whats gone on so far....they have provided 2 SOLID Parks, Bumps on Noreaster, Bumps on lower Stinger (Twice), as well as a great race course. JOB WELL DONE SKI SUNDOWN...this season is a shining example of why I shall be returning for my 3rd season next year. Making the most of NOTHING seems to be theirmotto this season. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNknSUN3DOI&list=UU-63Rd9KJQbiPSNAhQRFuyw&index=1&feature=plcp

Lower stinger, as far as Noreaster being re-bumped I'd say that has long past.....its been talked about but never done. IMO there is prob not enough of a base in certain areas of Noreaster and thats what is keeping them away from it. I talked once with Ishovel and he said the reason they did not wanto to move some of the rails on Toms was because they did not want to break into the icy base layer and maybe increase the melt process, perhaps that is also what they are afraid of on Noreaster????? Just speculation on my part however...(But I am there damn near every day too ) :)

Have to agree 100% with PlanB...amazing job in a really difficult season...have been around a bit this year and continue to be impressed with Sundown from a coverage standpoint...worth every penny of my season pass...this week is gonna be tough...headed back to Sundown on Sat. Anyone that has not hit Whiteface, damn, that place is unreal! Between the terrain at Whiteface and the other activities at Lake Placid you'd be hard pressed to find a better ski weekend in the NE!

They have done well given mother nature... That being said, gunny seems real thin on skiers right... Not sure what they will have to work with... Orr how long it will last....I plan to get it if and when we can.

I believe once racing is over they'll start pushing snow from skiers left to skiers right, to make more base for the bumps. There's still plenty of snow up there to work with!

Tomorrow and thurs should be some nice bump skiing on lower stinger (temps in the 50s)

Indeed, I wish I could make it out! I skied them for a bit on Sunday morning, and they're getting pretty well skied in and kind of big in spots. :spread:

Skiers right= SUPER DEEP bumps

Skiers left= just right (prob since it gets far less sun and wont soften as much)
