Every year my folks get my wife and I a weekend at the Woodstock Inn and Resort (why, I have no idea, but next year I'll have them get us a weekend up at SBush)

So, we been hitting Killington, which has been fun 'cause we can hit the LTA brewhouse on the way back to the Inn...I know Ascutney is pretty close (18 miles as per the GPS) anywhere else close to there? Dont want to spend a ton of time in the morning or afternoon traveling, so something in the 30 min range would be fine from the Inn...we are both advanced/expert, love ungroomed trails, trees...please dont mention okemo!!

Thanks

Not within your driving range, but personally I'd head to the MRV, or if SoVT has gotten some recent natural, Magic. Both destinations, a bit over an hour, but worth the extra 30 minutes in either case.

Some other options that are not too far:

Whaleback
Sunapee
Dartmouth Skiway
Quechee Lakes (small, but cheap)
Suicide Six
Bear Creek
