After getting Blistered Wed by a heavy Moderate Clipper a Major Epic snowstorm to engulf New England this friday. It's always the one that are under-reported that are the big ones. Gulf moisture streaking up North will collide with an arctic Cold Front. Producing massive convergence.

Warning! Warning "Snow Tornadoes" could touch down in the Worcester area.

All vehicle preparations are underway!

list includes:

1. Towel to cry in
2. Snow Shovel
3 Gallon of beer
4 Sob Blanket
5. One copy of "The Perfect storm"
6 One can of Hormel Chili or (Alpo for humans)
7. Snow journal

Snow Estimates at 10 - 16 but their wrong!

This is the one where the newspaper headline states "Surprise, freak storm thrashes Hub" on top of a large Snowbank. Were due for a pummeling. I say the blizzard of 78 is a proper comparision.

This storm is looking like it will produce heavy snow inland from the Connecticut/Rhode Island line as well as Eastern Massachusetts. Hopefully Maine gets hit as well, but in the mountains.

All Weather Channel is saying right now for New Haven area is rain/snow, and its not even 100% chance of precipitation -- 70%. Supposed to be 39*. :(

Honestly folks, if you are interested enough in skiing to find and post on this board, then you really have no business wasting your time looking at the Weather Channel or (In)Accuweather, or our until-recently-institutionalized friend Haines. None of these are places for serious, unbiased, non-sensationalized discussion and forecasting of Northeast mountain weather.

The only thing worth seeing from any of those three venues is Stephanie Abrams' rack.

Well I am just in love with NOAA's storm prediction for yesterday when they said we would get 2-4" of snow last night. We got a dusting, and I have a hard time even seeing it on the ground because it's so thin.

For snow lovers, so far this winter sucks.

Catskills got 3" at the resorts, I have 1.5-2" on the ground so the estimates for around here were right on.
