You've already seen the latest snow advisory. As for the 4" report, they said it live on the weather channel. It looks like even Mount Snow could start base-building.

you guys are way to opitimstic, I can understand being a lil excited but there is no way mount snow will make snow for atleat another 2 weeks. They dont plan to open until like thanksgiving which is over a month away so there is no way they will make snow.

Mistake Number One: Weather Channel.

Currently in Northern Vermont (source: my drive home): 45 F and raining.

:-? All sources I just looked at, WCAX, Mount Washington, and even TWC (cringe) all have radars showing heavy rain. Snow and mixed precip in the Higher Summits of Whites :-?

this snow will NOT show up as snow on radar

it is the result of strong lift and heavy precip rates bringing down cold air

it shows up as Bright Banding on radar, which you do see right now

It was reported on www.killingtonzone.com by BigChief that snow was indeed falling. He was reporting from the mountain. Bubba reported sleet at his house (Trail Creek condo) and then later said it was snowing. I have friends up there this weekend that will surely hike up and take some runs on whatever snow falls. Wish I was up there too instead of down here in the flatlands. Damn kids' sports schedules.

It snow right here at "Near Jiminy" . Not much and it's melting so fast off the trees it sounds like it's raining, but it snowed.
