The last 3 days at the Bird have been great...

It's pretty big but I finally settled into some terrain... Love the whole Gad 2 area... STEEP trees.. Lot's of cold snow to be found... Much of it still fresh... some nice quick hiking options for fresh lines.

Love the Cirque/Great Scott - Great Scott was kinda rutted at the top but the face below it had great snow...
The Cirque is like a little playland... :) So many options for dropping -into sweet sweet utah snow...
Mineral Basin.. Is vast with a ton of options... I tended to stay in and around the Cliffs under the Baldie chair.. But the other side of the bowl - accessed quickly off the Little Cloud chair is awesome... Still - good fresh and cold snow left..

Peruvian Gulch has great riding too... It was closed for a compitition but i got there yesterday...

I'd give the Bird a solid 8 - for me... IMHO...

Still put Jackson Hole above it for many reasons...
But I've enjoyed my time here... last day is today... tomorrow Solitude...

I like Solitude, Brighton is cool too. Funny how two mountains can be right next to each other and yet have a totally different feel to them. That's the case with these two.

The Gad trees were our playland two weeks ago. We loved that side of the mountain. Even the Creekside was a great lunch spot. The bumps (all 3 mogul fields) on Gadzooks were a favorite of mine, as well as traversing from the top of Little Cloud and dropping in somewhere past Regulator Johnson, then just continuing to traverse into the trees on skier's right and drop wherever.

The only scary moment was coming off the tram in 20' visibility and trying to make our way down Road to Provo to a drop-in point. Hell of a bowl when you can't see it!

Nice vid - great conditions and what looked like a great day!
