Plattekill is reporting 12" and Belleayre 8". How come I haven't heard any dancing on the table yet? Is it for real?

Assuming snow report is true, what's crowd prediction for Bell vs Platt? This is Presy's week, after all...

I'd like to know as well. I'm due north of Plattekill, about 1.25 hrs and I've only got 4-6 inches so far... Might hit Plattekill first thing tomorrow if it looks good, but I promised my nephew I'd go to Jiminy with him tomorrow evening so it will make for a very long day.

4 inches of freshies here down in the valley at Woodstock, NY .

That's the trouble in the world. Nobody believes anybody anymore. :smash:

For $30 lift ticket at Plattekill with fresh snow how could you go wrong.

Me I got to work.

Have fun.

Thanks for the confirmation. It's not the lift ticket. It's a work day! It better be worth taking the day off.

Well... Plattekill for me in the morning (Belleayre is a bit too far). Earlier than I like to move in the morning but I can only stay until noon or so. Hopefully I'll make bed before 2 tonight...

Thanks for the response. I took the day off and went to Bell for a few hours.

Lots of snow collected on the side of trails. Some soft bumps, but interrupted by icy trough. Woods were powdery and scratchy at the same time. It could use another foot or two before all the rocks and roots got fully covered.

One drawback of Bell: shuttle bus is a real PITA! Waited for one for a while and gave up. Never saw it the whole time I was changing in the car. Ended up getting between the car and lift by skiing "off-piste"!

Dude - just drive up, do a drop at Overlook, then park & walk back to the lodge and change inside. Especially on a weekday. It is probably faster and a lot more comfortable. I can't believe people change at the car there.

Nah, it's a long walk (Presi's week, busy as hell, parked miles away!)

It's faster to ski "off-piste" than walking the whole length of the parking lot.

Probably not quite as "comfortable". But that's about it. I skied to within 10 feet of my car! :D
