Southern VT weekend crowds?

We (family, with young kids) will have one Saturday at the end of January to ski in Southern Vermont. Will not be able to travel significantly north. Any recommendations for low crowds, good place for families (nothing advanced needed)? Thanks!

take a look at Bromley. Magic, tho considered advanced, has some easy stuff and will likely be least crowded but you won't have a variety of options for paths down from top.

Magic will not be crowded but how much do they have open, sunday will be cold so dress for it and i bet slopes will be quite empty and Mount Snow has heated 6 pack chair

How old are the kids? Are we talking ski school? The Pig Dog program at Bromley is great for
kids and I can't imagine it being that crowded coming off a holiday weekend. Johnny Seesaw's can be kinda fun to stay at or check out The Bromley View Inn.

I would pick Bromley, and they have 27 trails open so you would have some variety..and its never really crowded...

I have a woman in the office that is heading to MT snow this weekend and is dreading the cold. How does the new bubble lift do when its windy?

100% unbiased opinion here based on the 50 or so rides I have on the Bluebird so far. With the bubble down, the only place that you feel what it's like outside is in your immediate boot/shin area that is below the bubble and resting on the footrest. The rest of you is in a relatively speaking "warm" and totally wind free environment. It took me about 2 or 3 rides on it to figure out that yes I will wait for the bubble on a cold, windy day rather than hop a ride on the "exposed" Grand Summit express. It's worth it, and I don't mind most cold!

The other thing to tell her, is that yes, the bubble WILL open by itself at the top (many folks during their 1st few rides don't believe it will, since it doesn't open until the bubble is well into the top terminal), and that the bubble unloads mid bull wheel (just like how it loads), so don't stand up until the chair starts going around the bull wheel and you get to the "unload here" sign

Thanks for the helpful recommendations. We are staying in Brattleboro and will travel from there for the day on Saturday the 28th. Kids are 9 and 7. 7 y.o. is still scared to ski, so we will probably take turns hanging with him at the lodge. 9 y.o. is comfortable on easy runs in CO, so we will probably not have her do ski school and just ski with her.
