The little community ski area, in Richmond, VT, was granted an Act 250 permit to withdraw up to 500 gpm from the Winooski River for their snowmaking operation. The hill is raising $$$ to revamp its aging system. Cochran's is famous because members of the Cochran family, who learned to ski at the hill, have gone on to race in the Olympics.
