Skinned up the Long trail to Taft and skiied down 1 and done today. Snow is great, TONS of traffic off piste at Stowe. If you're looking for freshies, I'd look elsewhere. Back country should be ready though. Prolly do something away from the area Monday.

I've done tear drop. Sunny side/windy side so there are ussually better conditions to be had. There is an aspect of Mansfield I want to ski that is more Northwest. Better for wind load and not as much sun. Never skiied Thuder Basin, that is also on my list, but that's a long car drop or LONG skin around. And can get blasted by the typical wind patterns.

I attempted to do the teardrop last season, and like JD said, weather can be fierce on that side. we broke through the tree tunnel and out onto the top of the run, and a 30 mph wind blasted us. that was on top of 15F temps. i turned around. would have been windblown and i probably would have froze to death on the skin out (I sweat like a pig).
