The weather on Sunday may be crappy but be advised that skiing at Stowe will be FREE on Sunday 4/23 (a donation to some charity is encouraged). If for some reason the weather clears, anyone in the area should check out some final lift serviced turns. I know that I will be there, weather permitting, FREE skiing is good. Very Good.

My wife is talking our son and a friend for a college visit to Johnson and Lyndon State tomorrow, they are planning to ski Stowe on Sat. They have never skied Stowe so I am curious what they will think of it. They were going to ski Kmart as they both have the ASC pass but convinced them that at $7 bucks Stowe would be the place to go.

I would estimate a 50% chance that I will be at Mansfield this coming Sunday depending upon weather and other factors. Tuckerman (Hillmans) is a probable for Saturday if I can get up super early and beat the crowds and the bad weather or else I would opt for Mansfield on Saturday as well. This weekend is so up in the air depending upon a number of factors.

Where on Mansfield did you hike? BC still have a decent base up there?

Not likely except at upper elevations in shaded areas, most of the snow remaining with any base was man made generally. I skinned right up Gondolier.
