Went out and turned 'em today. Second day of the season. Got a late start, but had some fun out there. Manmade snow bumps on Ripcord. Big, wide-spaced, but tons of fun. Fortunately, I remembered how to ski bumps! The natural stuff was softer than the manmade, but definitely getting thin where the traffic has been.

Overall, things are looking a lot better than I expected up there. 28 trails open, lots of fun to be had.

Mall and Twist were both pretty much crud, but were skiing in more by the end of today. Spills is getting real thin, but there are a couple of great (albeit short) bump lines to be found.

Got a few pix for you to enjoy. Sorry for the poor lighting on the last three, but it was rather cloudy, and I'm certainly no photographer!

First of all, here's the view I woke up to this morning:

Here's the newly painted Valley House, for those of you who haven't seen it. Many, many, many hard hours of work to get that building painted. I spent a few days working on it.

Fun for sure.
