Warren, VT February 22, 2012 - Sugarbush Resort has been handed a rash of accolades in recent weeks, including the notoriety of New England's Favorite Ski Resort by Boston.com readers. The Boston.com reader poll included some 32 resorts. Sugarbush Resort came out on top.
In addition to the Boston.com poll, VT Sports Magazine honored Sugarbush Resort with a number of its Black Diamond of Excellence Awards. The reader poll included resorts from all over the state and tallied favorites in many categories. Sugarbush was awarded "Best Central Vermont Ski Area" and the resort's Chief Recreation Officer John Egan was voted the "Best Downhill Athlete".
Sugarbush Resort's award-winning Ski & Ride School also got a nod from the magazine: MA Raymond, a Sugarbush veteran, tied for "Best Ski Instructor in the state of Vermont". Sugarbush bartender Shawn Fuschetto, of Castlerock Pub, was awarded "Best Apres Ski Bartender" with his great service and offering of a wide variety of local beers on draft.
"I'm thrilled with the accolades for Sugarbush--and for me--from the readers of boston.com and VT Sports Magazine," said John Egan. "I will do my best to keep up with all the great skiers and riders in the state."
