With all the negative talk (understandable) going on with Killingtons closing, is Sugarloaf going to make it to May 2nd? The reason I ask is cuz of the the lower mountain, are the runouts still intact? Do they move snow down there to keep it going, or do they not need to? Also let's say the bottom melts out, will they run one of the lifts further up on the mountain and upload people to make it?

Oh and will they go longer if possible, just to beat out Jay? Of course I don't think they care whether they beat out Jay or not, but just wondering. They both finished up at the same time last year as well correct?

They'll need to move snow, but as of last weekend there was plenty of it to do so. Always the option of downloading on the double runner as well, though not sure if they've ever done that. Some of the base I saw from Spillway up looked like it could last at least a few more weeks.

Monday" of the last week last year" was the last day of Spillway I think. We had a blast the meat heads were there.

Friday and Sat of the last weekend you had to walk 100 yards to get to the bottom roughly. It fronze on Sat night and they made a 3 foot wide path to ski down. They had a pile of snow to farm.

I am hoping for more this year, but gald I will have an option. It was pretty empty last year. I hope a good crowd shows up. We had a bunch of SR regulars who made the trip. Same plan this year.

They will definitely make May 2nd. Amazing to think they are still skiing natural snow trails on the upper mountain! The runout (Candyside) is always an issue, but it seems like they have more snow than last year at this time and they were able to farm enough to make it work.
