Resort or Ski Area: Sugarloaf

Conditions: Packed Powder, Powder

Trip Report: Hit the Loaf on Maine Day. I was surpised how dead the place was. There was a few chair wait on the SuperQuad until 11 or so but after that you could ski right on the lift. It was clear until 11 or so then on and off snow showers and zero wind. I had many chairs to myself on the SuperQuad in the afternoon.

The trails from King Pine to the SuperQuad were lightly skied and not skied off at all. Still lots of loose snow. The blues and greens on the other side of the SuperQuad were a little firmer but still very few skiers on them and no ice anywhere. Off Timberline, it was was open from White NItro to Timberline trail. I think the very cold weather earlier in the week kept skiers away because the place looked barely tracked. I stayed out of the woods, I overheard peoploe saying they were getting chewed up. The other natural trails had lots of loose snow. Ripsaw however looked like it needed more snow.
My Run of the day was White NItro from the top and then down Wedge. It's a fun steep and had plenty of loose snow.
