Sugoi Cannondale Pro Team Vest
Packable and always there when you need it, a lightweight, element-blocking vest is essential for late fall, winter, and spring riding. Sugoi knows this as well as anyone in the cycling apparel business, which is why it created the Cannondale Pro Team Vest to protect both the boys who make their paychecks from pedaling, as well as us mere mortals.
Starting at the front of the body, Sugoi used the ultralight Firewall 100 fabric for its construction. This material is completely windproof, and it staves off headwinds, which, as we know, are the main contributor of winter chills. Firewall also provides a moderate layer of insulation through its light inner-brushing construction. Essentially, the fabric creates an internal micro climate that's singular to you. So, during intense aerobic exercise, the material allows excess heat to escape from the insulation layer. And not only does this keep your temperature well-regulated, it also decreases moisture accumulation.
At the rear of the vest, Sugoi placed its mesh fabric. This material is exceptionally lightweight and malleable, yet its primary focus is placed on breathability and moisture management. It also contributes to one of our favorite features of the vest: its precise, jersey-like fit. Its shape and construction is based on a preformed anatomic design, which means that the cut has been coordinated to the predictability of your body's movements.
To secure the fit, Sugoi placed a light gripper at the torso's hem. This gripper provides a gentle hold that prevents shifting while you're changing positions in the saddle. It also eliminates the vest from sagging when its three rear pockets are carrying bulky loads.
