On the way up to Killington I figured I'd make a pit stop at Suicide Six to use my Fox44 pass and check the place out. Rolled in at 2:30 which left plenty of time to explore the 6 open trails. Very inviting base lodge... obviously a small crowd and ski on lift. Trail offerings included the Face, Easy Mile, Skyline, Perley's Peril, Bunny's Boulevard, and the beginner area by the J-Bar. The Face is a legit steep run, almost like a short version of Warren's Way at Burke. They were race training on it, but left some room down skiers left. Easy Mile was a great beginner run, and Skyline and Bunny's were some fun cruisers. Perley's was open on natural snow... a bit thin but fun as well.
They're trying their best with snowmaking but with the small operation they have there were a lot of thin spots. They should be in good shape after this cold week though. Seems like it would be a great place to take the family or a beginner as it's a very inviting place with friendly people and nice family trails. Natural stuff looks interesting as well, might have to go back sometime if everything is open.
