With apologies to NE skiers, need help planning a potential CO trip in Feb.

Does anyone have a source or recommendation for discounted lift tickets in Summit County, CO? Copper, Breck, A-Basin, possibly (but probably not) Keystone. I haven't been out there for several years, and prices have gone way up (Copper is $74/day online, $79 at the window).

Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Liftopia and ebay are both good places for it.

An Epic pass might be worth it depending on how many days you plan to be out there. Also check the skiing on the cheap thread.

I would be very dissapointed if I was a copper passholder!

The Steamboat/WP combo is a great deal though.

http://skifreedeals.com/# - check back on this, they historically had twofers to Copper/WP. Different companies this year I think so things could change

http://www.arapahoebasin.com/abasin/tickets/hot-deals/specials.aspx -also the second pass down is killer one stop deal.

King Soopers also sells lightly discounted tix

Last year, I bought A-basin's bonus seasons pass for my Feb trip. Comes with 5 days at Breck/Vail (Maybe Keystone + Beaver too?) Other than that, Liftopia sometimes has A-basin/Loveland deals...

yikes, just started looking at tix for us. not finding great deals i'd hoped for. Looks like no breck or vail on liftopia.

the $405 for 5 of 8 days @ breck/keystone/abasin with 2 of the 5 ok @ vail might be what i end up with. plus 1 day @ copper via liftopia

will keep searching and post anything i find here.

Seriously for like 350 you can pick up the a basin bonus pass. As noted above it comes with five days at breck/keystone/vail/beaver creek. Only one day is good over at Vail beaver creek though. Still this is a stupid good deal and gives you access to well over 10,000 acres all in an easy drive. It also will tempt you to book a second trip to ski a basin in the spring as that is unlimited. This is one of the best deals in skiing IMO

Agree with Liftopia. I saw some good deals for our trip. Also scour the resort's own website. I went to Loveland last week for two days. The first day was $15 because I signed up as a "Party VIP" promo that a local radio station was doing. So I imagine I will be getting lots of SPAM in my mailbox now but it got us a $15 ticket and a 2 for 1 we used the next day.

Another idea is to check with the hotel where you are staying or ski shops that may have disount vouchers.

Or better yet you could do like we did and go to Utah. The Salt Lake Super Pass is a great deal.

Oh yeah the car rental place we used at DIA (Payless) had coupons for A-Basin including a 2 for 1 deal.

I was wondering if they were transferable.

Non-transferable pass, for pass holder only. Please be prepared with photo ID as proof of age. Season passes can be picked up at the Season Pass Office. Prices subject to change at any time. Quantities limited.

How was Loveland?

Day 1 was great. I was able to sample most of the resort's terrain and it was a nice variety. It was very laid back and yet clean. The lifts are old fixed grips (except for Lifts 8 and 9 which are relatively new Poma FG quads). Skiing on the continental divide is fun.

Day 2 showed why Loveland is not so great. The winds howled and made most of the terrain not very pleasant to ski. Lift 9 was downright dangerous to ride because of the wind and whiteout conditions (not to mention the windchills). They did close it. That said, we tried to stay low and in the trees and found some great pow. It had the most snow in Colorado according to reports and you can't beat the easy drive.

When I was out there last I also did the $15 VIP Party pass from 95.7. The spam isn't too bad, I see it show up a few times a month in my spam mailbox. I liked loveland when we skiied there, lots of pretty decent stuff. Were they running the $3 coors draft specail that day as well? Coors banquet (orignal non light beer) is my favorite "mass produced" brew.

^^^^^^ You know it's free in Golden right?
Better deal is the 2.25 draft that they run everday. Only 12 oz but usually something good like fat tire, sam, ect..... plus Sarah is a moderately nice and very smoking bartender. I love that little bar!
