Friday was epic... Vortex was my pick for the day. Clouds of fluffy light snow...like floating through air. Other picks were Excalibur, Blind Ambition, White Heat and Goat Path.... what a day... we had quite a crowd ...BobR, Mr & Mrs Andyzee, Mike, Thaller1, Whaller, Connor, Skiis Right & Skiis Left, Volkboarder, Roark, Liv2ski and Corduroy Cruiser and spawn.

Saturday the conditions were VARIED...you need a ski caddy .. powder skis, carvers and all mountain....none the less we still had a great day. Snowmonster joined us for lunch and a couple of runs. It was great to meet him... what a fantastically fun guy! Don't miss him! :) Looking forward to getting out there w/ him again!

Back at it tomorrow... will report back...oh !! Pick of the day was 3-D!!!!! Powdah' bumps !! woohoooooooooooooooooo

Epic is the word to descrbe friday. ROTD for me was blind ambition after one run my buddy commented: 'those are the kind of conditions i usually have to sit in a plane for six hours to find'

sunday rivers claim of 22-31'' was no exageration

Sounds like an awesome time. I am jealous! Wish i could still ski, I would have been there. You don't ever get those kind of conditions around here. Unreal!!!

Had a blast Friday. It was great to meet everyone and BBQ.

Funny thing about powder... everybody seemed to have a couple good falls. Bob R started us off with a header (which I missed - but we all knew what happened when he showed up with hat & face covered). thaller1 got all twisted up  I did a cartwheel at around 30 mph. My wife noticed I have a yellow hip this morning. I feel the legs more, but it's a good pain ;)

Hi thaller1 and whaller! Thanks for the kind words! It was great meeting you folks too. The company, the skiing and the barbecue were all first rate! Great people! I should have stayed on to sample 3D with you but I guess we can save that for another day.

Easily the highlight of the barbecue was the appearance of the parking-Nazi-with-the-Jackie O-hairdo! As whaller said, she was great for 30 minutes worth of laughs! Gives new meaning to "Well, isn't that nice?!?" (insider gag at the 'cue)

Anyway, it looks like we're heading up to the River on Saturday -- hope we get good dumpage this week. We should definitely ski again and I look forward to it. Oh, the "imaginary" li'l snowmonster has agreed to put in an appearance -- at least that's what she said yesterday!

Have fun at the Passholder's Party. Let me know how the Shockwave Shrimp goes.

Keep thinkin' snow!

It was a great time. I'm happy we finally made it to Sunday River. Thanks to BobR, Thaller, Whaller, and the rest of the Sunday River gang for making us feel so welcome and showing us such a good time.

Since Bob linked to my posts on teh Sr board I guess I don't need to post, even though IO got the following message on top of the screen when I logged in:

Hello ga2ski! It appears that you have not posted on our forums in some time. Why not take a few moments to ask a question, help provide a solution or just engage in a conversation with another member?

SR was a blast this weekend. The snow in the woods ( not on the map) was over my knees and untracked. I skied trails I hadn't skied all year.
