Resort or Ski Area: Sunday River

Conditions: MM PP and Hard Pack

Trip Report: Did a quick half-day trip to Sunday River. With Bank of Maine promotion of $29 made for a nice Sunday morning. Very nice weather, good snow making temps made for a decent morning of skiing.

For the trails that had recent man made and were ungroomed (Right Stuff, Monday Mourning) you could find quite a bit of snow. The groomers (American Express, Sunday Punch) started getting scraped off quickly due to the big crowd. The snow stayed good on the green trails in the South Ridge area.

Kudos to Sunday River for getting as much terrain open as they have. Couple more pics on my blog.

They certainly were cranking out the snow. But to set the record straight, American Express and Monday Morning were not open. You probably mean Cascades on Locke mt, and Risky Business on Spruce Peak. Place was a zoo by 11:30 so I left. The snow was sweet on Right Stuff early on though.
